  • Unit train unloading at 500 tons per hour
  • Covered conveyors provide clean operation and enable transferring product in any weather
  • All belt conveyors have 304 stainless steel chutes and hoppers
  • Transition point turnhead and chutes are all 304 stainless steel and designed to transfer product to multiple locations
  • Truck loadout from domes at 250 tons per hour
  • Unique reclaim system reduces from end loader time
  • Lump breakers installed in loadout conveyors
Wilson provided the design, equipment, and installation of equipment for this joint venture to transfer Potash fertilizer.
Wilson provided unit train unloading equipment to fill two 135' diameter domes and a 7500 ton storage bin in this processing plant at a minimum rate of 500 tons per hour. We also provided truck loading equipment from the domes utilizing a reclaim - loadout system rated at 250 tons per hour.
Four undertrack drag conveyors are used to unload four hoppers of jumbo cars simutaneously at a rate of 500 tons per hour minimum.
The undertrack conveyors transfer to a series of 30" wide truss type belt conveyors which go through a transition point with capabilities of transferring to either of the two domes at a rate of 250 tons per hour minimum.
The reclaim conveyor is a 36" wide stainless steel chain conveyor set in the concrete flush with the top of the floor having feed openings every 4' which are opened and closed by a single hydraulic gate. The conveyor is covered with heavy plates with the openings in it and can be driven over with large loader and can be covered by domes full of product. The reclaim feeds the product out of the dome into a conditioner (Lumpbreaker) enclosed in a hopper on the tail of the loadout conveyor which loads into the trucks.
It is not uncommon for the reclaim system to handle up to 60% of the product during a season without the use of a loader.
Wilson's "state of the art equipment" utilized on this project allows the customer to unload unit trains (up to 100 cars) within a 24 hour periods to loadout of domes to trucks in the most efficient manner possible.
